FERRVOX

Magnetic Resonator Synthesizer

Magnetically excited strings. Deep modulation and sound shaping.

Ferrovox interface with variation, tone, envelope, space and LFO controls

Ferrovox is a sample-based synthesizer for Kontakt, made from recordings of a Chinese zither played with a magnetic resonator; creating inherently unstable, sine-like resonant sounds that are rich in overtones and organic character.

Inspired by electro-mechanical organs and early additive synthesis but with magnetically induced string resonance as the sound source, as opposed to tonewheels and electricity.

It is especially suited for evolving ambient pads, drones and characterful organs but thanks to its comprehensive modulation and tone blending, it works well for all types of sound design.
